Primary Responsibilities

Solicit and select literary work for publication in the student art & literature journal, The Sage.

Communicate with the Sul Ross community during open submission months.

Edit and proofread the text for final publication.

Coordinate communication with artists and writers throughout all production stages.

Collaborate with the literary and design editors to meet spring semester deadline.

Work with the English honor society to manage the annual spring poetry contest and publish winning poems in The Sage.

Qualifications

Undergraduate student in the Visual & Performing Arts or Language & Literature Departments.

Basic understanding of small press publications.

Proofreading skills and interest in text‑image design.
