MARKETING COORDINATOR
The Marketing Coordinator supports McGough's efforts to win new business and strengthen relationships through the execution of proposals, presentations, public relations, event campaigns, and other marketing initiatives. This role reports to the Marketing Manager for Minnesota and supports regional marketing efforts, including development of marketing materials, content management, and coordination of tasks and deadlines.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment, solves problems independently, and uses AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to work efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to ask effective questions, draft content, and improve efficiency

Strong editing, organization, and content review skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred

Experience in A/E/C or professional services marketing

Familiarity with CRM systems and database management

Familiarity with project management tools and processes

Understanding of proposal development processes and brand standards

Skills

Ability to ask questions, gather information, and problem-solve independently

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines

Strong collaboration and communication skills

High attention to detail

Self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in developing proposals, qualifications packages, and presentations

Organize and track deadlines for assigned pursuits

Gather and update project data, resumes, and visual assets

Proofread and format materials for consistency and accuracy

Capture and maintain marketing information from active and completed projects for future use

Business Development Support

Support business development efforts by preparing materials for client meetings, events, and award submissions

Assist with conference, tradeshow, and event coordination, including marketing materials and collateral

Conduct research to support client and project pursuit efforts

Maintain and update CRM (Salesforce), OpenAsset, and shared marketing resources

Collaboration and Teamwork

Work collaboratively as part of the marketing team to support project and pursuit efforts

Partner with business development teams to prepare materials and support client-facing activities

Coordinate with communications and creative teams, leveraging them as resources for content, design, and marketing initiatives

Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Regional & Team Support

Provide support to the Marketing Manager for Minnesota, including St. Paul, St. Cloud, Duluth, and Rochester

Provide additional support to regional marketing teams as needed

Assist with coordination of marketing efforts across regions to ensure consistency and efficiency

Other Duties as assigned

Contribute to overall marketing team efforts and support shared priorities

Build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams and external partners

Participate in company meetings, trainings, and team initiatives

Follow and reinforce standards of work, ensuring consistency and accountability.

Perform other duties as assigned

OFFICE & TRAVEL

Hybrid office attendance.

Occasional travel to other offices and/or job site locations.

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee's work station and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Employee needs to be able to lift up to 20 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.

Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $60,000-75,000 annually, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.

Please note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth.
