Job Description
Our apparel retail client is looking for an Assistant Designer, Intimates to support their team on a hybrid contract basis in New York, NY from 05/26/2026 through 08/19/2026.
Responsibilities
Support the design and development of seasonal intimates collections
Research trends, competitive brands, colors, fabrics, and silhouettes
Create mood boards, inspiration boards, and trend research
Develop sketches and technical flats in Adobe Illustrator
Execute technical design packages within PLM systems
Partner with CAD, Merchandising, and Product Development teams
Prepare development decks, line sheets, and presentations
Attend fit sessions and support development approvals
Assist with day‑to‑day design operations and organization
Experience
1–2 years of apparel design experience or related background
Strong Illustrator sketching and technical flat skills
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools
Experience supporting product development and design execution
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Vizcom is a plus
Bachelor’s degree preferred
