Production Technician

Position Title: Production Associate
Wage: $16.00 - $23.00/hour

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Production Technician in Elgin, IL. In this role, you’ll configure, test, repair and refurbish, and prepare critical equipment to customer specifications—ensuring every system ships accurate, functional, and ready for success.

POS Configuration Specialist Responsibilities:

Read and follow detailed instructions outlined on work travel sheets and staging documentation

Follow ESD Procedures

Receive staging and testing orders and verify that all parts, equipment, and counts are correct

Set up and configure a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, scanners, printers, PCs, point-of-sale (POS) systems, battery backups, cash drawers, and tablets

Follow procedures to set up and configure equipment for specific store requirements

Learn and use diagnostic software to confirm equipment functionality

Ensure each order meets customer-specific configuration and quality standards

Complete order documentation and required paperwork

Complete staging orders by assigned deadlines

Requirements for POS Configuration Specialist:

A+ Certification

Fluent in English and Spanish

High School Diploma or GED

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Willing to learn and adapt in a technical environment
