Valet (Part-time) Watercolor

Job Summary

The role of Valet is responsible for driving, parking, and retrieving guest vehicles to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience upon their arrival and departure. The valet parking attendant returns vehicles from the parking lot promptly and safely and provides excellent customer service to each guest.

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Greet and welcome guests to the establishment and offer professional valet services
Accommodate guests by opening doors and assisting with luggage or other heavy items
Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking lot
Answer guests questions regarding local attractions, hotel amenities, and other available services
Collect and accurately label keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return
Park guest's vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following all traffic laws
Retrieve cars for guests in a timely manner
Ensure that parked cars are locked and that keys are stored safety or returned to the owner
Operated vehicles safely and responsibly
Organize and file paperwork regarding guest's vehicles and daily transactions
All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience

Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferred
Valid driver's license (preferred)

Detail-oriented and thorough
Ability to perform consistent work to the highest standards
Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
Ability to work well in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple guests at a time
Proven safe driver and clean driving records is essential
Ability to communicate professionally
Customer service experience and friendly demeanour
Ability to multitask and tend to several customers at once
Experience driving vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission
Organizational skills are necessary to quickly recall the location of vehicles and their appropriate keys
Physical Demands

Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, walking and frequent parking/ retrieving of guests' vehicles
Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching
Ability to push and pull carts, luggage trolleys, and other equipment safely
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Working Conditions

Indoor and outdoor environment
Possible exposure to extreme heat or cold depending on season
Potential exposure to naturally occurring environmental factors such as wind, rain, red tide, etc.
