Lifelong Music Academy Director

Location:

The Lifelong Music Academy office is located at Franklin High School.

Hours/Schedule:

Approximately 18 hours per week, primarily Monday-Thursday afternoons/evenings during the school year (approximately 1:30 PM-6:00 PM), with additional hours required for concerts and summer programming.

Start Date:

Training begins on June 8, 2026. The position begins in August 2026 to prepare for the 2026-2027 school year.

Compensation:

$30.00 Franklin Public Schools' Lifelong Learning is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to oversee all aspects of the Lifelong Music Academy, including after-school and summer music programming for students and community members. Programs include, but are not limited to:
String School of Franklin
Chorus School of Franklin
Private Music Lesson Program
Summer Music Program
Responsibilities include

Coordinating and overseeing music programs, lessons, and events
Managing program budgets, payroll, scheduling, and registrations
Supervising staff and instructors
Communicating with students, families, and faculty
Supporting marketing and outreach efforts, including social media and website updates
Assisting with concerts and special events
Collaborating with the FPS Director of Music and Lifelong Learning staff
Qualifications:

Associate degree or higher preferred
Experience in office management, program coordination, or education
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Experience with Microsoft Office and Google platforms
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI)
