Summary
Effectively collaborate with the Performing Arts Event Manager on daily activities related to the operation of The Franklin Performing Arts Center at FCHS and FCMS auditorium. Provide excellent customer service to all clients and guests. Motivate, educate, and lead various stage crews in successfully presenting live events, performances, and productions. Additionally, this position involves operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment. Facilitate, contribute to, and guide the careful, safe, and effective installation and implementation of production assets. Participate in the planning and design of events and productions. Execute additional tasks in collaboration with the Performing Arts Event Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Remains current on new developments in the areas of performing arts center software, hardware, networks, telecommunications, training and maintenance.

Analyzes renter data, technical drawings, sketches, and plans for the purpose of developing best practices for meeting production requirements while ensuring safety and staying within budget limitations; and for the purpose of providing technical arts training for FCS students.

Collaborates with in-district users, public renters, professional designers, and directors providing for their technical needs for the purpose of supporting program development and facilitating school district and community performing arts programs.

Collaborates with the Event Manager to successfully host events at Franklin Community Middle School.

Trains, supervises, and monitors the work of students, assistants for the purpose of providing technical education in a safe environment.

Maintain an inventory of performing arts center technology equipment, warranty information, and software licenses to ensure district compliance to copyright laws and guidelines.

Oversees the creation and management of maintenance and improvements to PAC/FCMS auditorium facilities and equipment.

Manages and supervises technical and clerical personnel.

Basic Qualifications

Demonstrate and maintain a positive, professional demeanor while working as part of a team

Full-time availability for a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Ability to operate, program, troubleshoot, clean, and maintain equipment for theatrical and live entertainment venues

Reliable understanding of theatrical terminology and documentation

Ability to work in a physically active environment that requires frequent lifting, climbing, squatting, and standing for extended periods

Basic understanding of electrical and data signal flow

Ability to construct/assemble various scenery and staging pieces

Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow skills

Audio

Live Mixing (Front of House, monitors, and broadcast)

Experience setting up and tearing down audio equipment (speakers, microphones, consoles, etc.)

Experience with digital and analog audio consoles

Read and implement lighting plots

Understand basic lighting principles

Knowledge of electrical systems

Experience programming various lighting consoles

Networking/IT

Comprehension of networking and IT principles

Experience with entertainment networking system

Climb ladders, stairs, and work in various elevations

Experience rigging overhead equipment for theatre, television, touring, etc.

Video

Experience building and operating video system from scratch

Experience in multiple areas of Video setup and operation (i.e. switching, graphics, editing, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Five (5) years live entertainment experience in increasing roles of responsibility

Advanced networking and computer

Audio

Two (2) years live band front of house and monitor mixing

Proficient in programming and operating digital audio consoles

Experience with programming and certifications in Q‑SYS and Dante

Advanced lighting console programming

Intelligent light programming and repair

Experience with AutoCAD / Vectorworks, and Lightwright

Comprehension of DMX, ArtNet, and Streaming ACN

Show and Control Automation

Programming experience of show control system for live shows

Video

Experience assembling and operating LED Video walls

Live event and broadcast experience including live streaming
