CLO 3D Technical Designer

Position Overview
Seeking a detail-oriented and innovative CLO 3D Technical Designer to support the product development process through advanced 3D garment visualization and technical design. This role requires strong experience in CLO 3D software, garment construction, and collaboration with design and production teams to ensure high-quality fit and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Create accurate 3D garment simulations using CLO 3D for design development and presentations

Translate 2D sketches and tech packs into 3D prototypes with precise fit and construction details

Collaborate with designers, patternmakers, and product development teams to refine garments

Evaluate fit, drape, and construction in a virtual environment and suggest improvements

Maintain and update digital libraries of fabrics, trims, and avatars

Support fit sessions by providing 3D visualizations and technical insights

Ensure consistency between 3D prototypes and final physical samples

Assist in reducing sample iterations through effective 3D workflows

Qualifications

Required: Proven experience with CLO 3D in a technical design or product development capacity

Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, and patternmaking

Experience working in women’s apparel (preferred, especially contemporary or moderate markets)

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and familiarity with PLM systems

Ability to read and create detailed tech packs

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

Experience in Browzwear or other 3D design tools (a plus)

Understanding of fabric properties and digital material simulation

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $85,000–$95,000
