We identify rising and established talent, develop strategic content initiatives, and unlock opportunities that help creators build long‑term success on the platform through a range of different programs and approaches.

About the Internship

As a News Creator Intern, you will work on high‑impact projects that support creator growth, program operations, trend intelligence, and strategy. This is an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience at one of the fastest‑growing social platforms globally, while contributing directly to how TikTok supports News creators in the U.S. As a project intern, you will engage in impactful short‑term projects that provide a glimpse of real‑world professional experience. You will gain practical skills through on‑the‑job learning in a fast‑paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. TikTok’s internship program offers students real‑world exposure and hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic industry. You’ll participate in impactful projects, development workshops, and social events, all while building core professional skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and rollout of new creator initiatives that increase adoption of TikTok‑owned products and programs.
  • Identify high‑potential News creators and emerging voices by monitoring content trends, creator behavior, and platform activity.
  • Independently manage end‑to‑end creator program operations, including lead vetting, creator onboarding, program tracking, data analysis, and support for top creator experience.
  • Track creator performance, content rankings, and program health to help strengthen TikTok’s position in the creator space.
  • Produce regular reporting on the U.S. news industry, creator trends, audience behavior, news, and AI‑related developments.
  • Monitor social media trends across major U.S. platforms, especially TikTok, and translate insights into actionable content and program recommendations.
  • Support strategy meetings, program reviews, and research materials through a combination of data analysis, trend insights, and clear reporting.
  • Build and maintain trackers, templates, SOPs, and shared documents to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Creator Management, Product, and other internal stakeholders to support creator initiatives from planning through execution.

Minimum Qualification(s)

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Strong English, reading, writing, and synthesis skills, with the ability to distill complex industry information, creator performance signals, and trend reports into clear takeaways.
  • Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets and data tools to monitor performance and support decision‑making.

Preferred Qualification(s)

  • Deep familiarity with the U.S. news landscape, the top news talent and journalists, and social conversation around news topics.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok and other major social platforms, such as Instagram, YouTube, and X.
  • Prior experience in creator operations, content strategy, journalism, community management, program management, or market/competitive research.
  • Strong data fluency, with the ability to use quantitative and qualitative inputs to support conclusions.
  • Interest in the creator economy, AI advancement, news content strategy, and digital culture.

Benefits

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $23.75‑$23.75 per hour. Interns have day‑one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and other benefits. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in the first half of the year, 40 hours if hired in the second half). Interns who are not working 100 % remote may also be eligible for a housing allowance. The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefit programs at any time, with or without notice.
