Job Overview As the Lead AV Technician, you will install commercial and professional audio visual equipment, working closely with project managers, general contractors, sub‑contractors, and clients to complete projects on time, within budget, and with excellent quality.
Responsibilities and Duties Lead AV project crew and provide necessary training.
Adhere to the company’s and client’s safety guidelines.
Coordinate with the project manager to ensure productivity and job completion while staying within budget.
Serve as the primary on‑site customer contact for questions and/or concerns.
Qualifications Self‑motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
Minimum of 5 years of AV installation experience.
Ability to read and implement construction and signal flow drawings.
High standards of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering, and crimping.
Ability to test completed systems fully for engineering specifications and operational functionality.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve issues as they arise.
Network cabling experience is a plus.
CTS certifications are a plus.
Familiarity with Extron, Crestron, AMX, and Audio DSP Systems; manufacturer’s certifications are a plus.
