Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an opening for a Director Capture Management 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position can be located in Redondo Beach, California; Dulles, Virginia; Baltimore, Maryland; Aurora Colorado; or Roy, Utah.
As the Director you will lead the overall capture efforts, including investment strategy, supplier and contract partnerships, technical development, and customer relationships that align with division priorities. You will have exceptional communication skills to quickly understand what is required to win, develop compelling value propositions, and prepare strong business cases to leadership. You will thrive in a fast pace, competitive environment and lead briefings at the executive level and establishing NDAs, working with GSC, teaming, and sourcing.
Primary job responsibilities include:
Understand the customer marketplace, stakeholder customer organizations and budgets in order to identify market drivers and trends and develop strategies.
Develop capture strategy and tactics to produce capture products such as competitive assessments, teaming strategies, and prices-to-win analysis results applied to improve competitive posture.
Develop clear and concise Win Themes and Value Propositions for the capture.
Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and functional organizations involved in program pursuit.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with teaming partners and industry associations to help drive partnerships.
Coordinate and collaborate with line of business management, strategy, business and finance, contracts and global supply chain, technology and engineering offices and functions.
Development and management of investment capture project funds, schedule, and execution.
Proposal development including managing process, writing proposal responses and developing pricing to deliver compelling and compliant proposals.
Securing RFPs, preparing proposals, negotiating and definitizing contracts
Meeting all security, organizational conflict of interest, export control, protection of proprietary information, and risk and opportunity management processes
Exceptional leadership and teambuilding skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with the customer, program management, business unit and supply base executives and functional management
Willing and able to travel as required
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with twelve (12) years of experience in Aerospace and Defense
Five (5) years of management or leadership experience
Demonstrated ability to communicate/coordinate/collaborate up, down and across all levels of a large organization
Demonstrated ability to create trusted relationships with customers, industry partners/suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Current DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or Business discipline
Proven ability to lead a high performing team with evidence of being able to create an inclusive work environment that attracts, retains, and inspires diverse and engaged teams
Self-directed leader with exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) across all levels of the organization; Proficient with executive presentations and communication
Earned value management of complex multi-layer projects
Subcontract Management experience
Active SCI clearance; or Active Top Secret clearance with recent SSBI
Experience interfacing with senior management, peers, and employees
Aptitude to develop and execute to strategy.
Knowledge and experience of at least one mission area within: Space-based Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) missile warning and missile tracking, MilSatCom, Restricted Missions, Directed Energy, or Geospatial Intelligence
Knowledge of the DoD acquisition processes and Customer organizations (SSC, SDA, MDA, IC)
Salary Range: $233,800.00 - $367,300.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
