We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our in‑office Spicewood team in McKinney, TX. Position Summary
Employee uses qualifications, experience, and judgment to obtain, maintain, service, market, and grow the insurance business of The Liberty Company. Responsibilities include assisting clients with new or renewing coverage at competitive terms, managing relationships and receivables, coordinating with carriers on audits and updates, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for middle market commercial lines accounts.
Prepare submissions for existing and new accounts and present proposals, including on‑site meetings.
Oversee quality control and compliance duties to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
Prepare change requests for company accounts.
Review audits, policies and endorsements for accuracy.
Initiate new account files in the agency management system.
Invoice accounts (agency bill transactions).
Assist with collections for accounts and carriers.
Assist with carrier audits, including disputes.
Prepare and implement marketing strategies, particularly for upcoming expirations within 120 days.
Manage account cancellations, coordinate with carriers and clients to ensure coverage continuity, and mediate disputes.
Manage carrier memos and process updates.
Process requests for ID cards, evidence of property, certificates of insurance, binders, policies and related documents.
Evaluate account exposure and risk to determine appropriate markets for obtaining quotes.
Select carriers for accounts using experience and judgment.
Obtain quotes, negotiate terms with carriers, and interpret coverage for clients.
Recommend additional coverage based on client needs.
Delegate assignments to administrative assistants as appropriate.
Keep team members informed of all important activities on accounts.
Manage receivables, renewals and expirations as appropriate.
Act as liaison with carriers and clients regarding complaints, claims, and grievances, attempting to resolve them.
Manage Exclusive Office Program policies, ensuring real‑time updates in the agency system.
Retrieve ongoing management inquiries and facilitate corrective action plans to avoid recurrence.
Performance Expectations
Provide status updates to management no later than the next business day.
Alert team members and executives of incidents requiring intervention.
Respond promptly to phone calls and emails.
Respond to client requests (e.g., ID cards, certificates).
Maintain current, detailed documentation of all client activity in AMS360 or Epic.
Prioritize workload and seek assistance to reduce backlog.
Participate with senior management on special projects and policy implementation.
Stay current on rates, forms, and coverage changes through continuing education.
Attend seminars and classes to develop qualifications and expertise.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience handling mid‑to‑large commercial lines accounts.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Active DOI P&C license required.
Knowledge of AMS360 or Epic system or similar agency management system.
Knowledge of commercial insurance products.
