Senior Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer

to support mission‑critical software and information‑technology initiatives in a secure government environment. This role is responsible for capturing, analyzing, and documenting complex business and technical requirements, translating mission needs into actionable solutions that support applications deployed to

Microsoft SharePoint

and

Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)

using the

Microsoft .NET Framework .

The Senior Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer works closely with customers, software developers, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are well‑defined, technically feasible, and aligned with mission objectives, while also mentoring junior personnel on best practices.

What you’ll do
Business Analysis & Requirements Engineering

Capture, analyze, and document

business processes and requirements

to support mission and operational needs

Document

software development and IT requirements

for systems implemented in Microsoft SharePoint and IIS environments using the .NET Framework

Translate customer and mission needs into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements

Process Mapping & Documentation

Create detailed

process diagrams, flow charts, and workflow models

Map business processes directly to customer and system requirements

Ensure requirements traceability throughout the solution lifecycle

Project Scoping & Stakeholder Collaboration

Work directly with

software developers and customers

to scope projects and evaluate solution approaches

Support

level‑of‑effort (LOE) estimation

and feasibility analysis

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine requirements and ensure shared understanding

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior personnel on proper analysis, documentation, and requirements‑management practices

Promote consistent standards, methodologies, and documentation quality across the team

Qualifications
Required Experience

8+ years

of experience as a Business Analyst capturing and documenting business processes and requirements

6+ years

of experience capturing and documenting software development and IT requirements in a

Microsoft SharePoint and IIS environment

using the

.NET Framework

8+ years

of experience creating

process diagrams and flow charts , mapping business processes to customer requirements

5+ years

of experience working with software developers and customers to:

Scope projects

Estimate levels of effort

Evaluate customer requirements for applications deployed to SharePoint (out‑of‑the‑box and custom‑coded) and IIS

3+ years

of experience mentoring junior personnel on proper practices and procedures

Security Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance with SBI , with the ability to attain

SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret

access
