We are seeking a Regulatory Contacts Manager to join the Food Safety team, overseeing interactions with regulatory agencies and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The candidate will serve as the primary point of contact between Amazon and regulatory bodies, managing communication processes, and ensuring requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for all regulatory inquiries, communications, and submissions.
Foster strong relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring effective collaboration and prompt responses.
Interpret regulatory requirements affecting Amazon’s operations and work with relevant teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain accurate records of regulatory communications and submissions; prepare and submit reports, filings, and necessary documentation.
Identify potential regulatory risks, assist in creating strategies to mitigate those risks, and provide recommendations to senior management.
Work closely with legal, compliance, and operations teams to address regulatory concerns and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Contribute to the development of strategies that address future regulatory changes, ensuring Amazon’s proactive approach to new regulatory trends.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on regulatory matters, ensuring employees are informed of the latest compliance requirements.
Measure key performance indicators, identify trends, and continuously improve the program by driving down risk and improving efficiency.

The day involves managing communication with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, reviewing and interpreting regulatory requirements, collaborating with internal teams, submitting necessary reports and filings, and proactively identifying potential risks while providing guidance. The role supports Amazon’s leadership in regulatory standards, driving efficiency and minimizing risk in a fast‑paced environment.
About the Team

The Food Safety team is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of product safety and customer satisfaction. It manages regulatory contacts, customer feedback investigations, product recalls, withdrawals, and severe adverse event reporting. Working cross‑functionally with other departments, the team quickly addresses issues, mitigates risk, and safeguards the customer experience.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience.
Experience with regulatory filings and reports.
Experience with research and investigation skills.
Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of program requirements definition and metrics leveraging to drive improvements.
Experience in program or project management.
Experience interacting with local food safety regulators.
Salary Range (USA)

Nashville, TN: 66,800.00 - 116,800.00 USD annually
Austin, TX: 74,200.00 - 129,800.00 USD annually
Arlington, VA: 74,200.00 - 129,800.00 USD annually
Bellevue, WA: 82,700.00 - 129,800.00 USD annually
