Position Purpose
Assists the Entertainment Supervisors in the coordination and management of entertainment programming at various stages for the annual OC Fair. This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed 122 days.

Essential Functions

Coordinates with performers and sound technicians to ensure the daily performance schedule runs smoothly.

Acts as the M.C. (Master of Ceremonies), introducing performers and communicating necessary announcements to the audience.

Coordinates administrative tasks and performance schedules with other members of the Entertainment Department team and contractors at the assigned stage.

Responds to inquiries and provides information to other departments, venues, facilities, performers, performer representatives, and the general public.

Performs record‑keeping duties, including documenting attendance numbers and entering performance information.

Assists with load-in, load-out, and any setup at the stage.

Collaborates with the sound technician to ensure the performers’ technical needs are met, ensuring a smooth performance.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator.

Must possess excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Ability to work long hours during an irregular schedule and on weekends, including the ability to work all 23 days of the annual OC Fair.

Must be flexible to meet the changing demands of this fast‑paced department.

Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.

Preferences

Experience with stage crew, including local theatre, school productions, or other similar experience.

College degree in a related field.

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Work Environment
Will work in a fast‑paced environment in both indoor and outdoor locations during all types of weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud when outdoors or in performance areas, and the employee must be able to tolerate loud music.
