Position Summary
The IT / AV Technician supports club operations and events by setting up, operating, and troubleshooting audiovisual and technology equipment throughout the clubhouse. This role works closely with staff, members, and guests to ensure all AV needs are met and that technology functions smoothly before, during, and after events. The technician also provides day‑to‑day technical support for clubhouse systems and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set up, test, operate, and break down audiovisual equipment including microphones, speakers, projectors, laptops, televisions, and conference phones

Work with Housemen and event staff to ensure proper AV setup prior to the start of events

Greet members and guests upon arrival and assist with connecting personal or club devices and using AV systems

Provide on‑site event support and quickly resolve technical issues with minimal disruption

Coordinate AV needs with Catering & Banquets, Food & Beverage, Housemen, and Engineering departments

Maintain a clean, organized AV equipment storage area and handle equipment with care

Conduct regular equipment inventory and log damaged or missing equipment

Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and replacement of AV equipment in coordination with the Clubhouse Manager

Provide day‑to‑day IT support for staff including computers, printers, phones, and Jonas point‑of‑sale software

Respond to technical issues in a timely manner and maintain a work order log documenting issues and resolutions

Follow all club policies, bylaws, and standards

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Prior IT support, help desk, or desktop support experience preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred

Strong communication skills and a professional, service‑oriented attitude

Ability to work collaboratively and interact effectively with members, guests, and coworkers

Must be flexible with scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts as needed

Valid driver's license required

Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and moderate to loud noise levels

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and perform the physical demands of the role

Reliable transportation required
