Production Technician

Night shift positions only. Schedules determined during orientation. New hires must have flexibility to work 8-hour and 12-hour night shifts. Training may occur on days, but employee will be transferred to assigned shift at the end of the training period:
Shift schedules:
8-hour: 2:45 p.m. - 11:15 P.M. (2nd shift--considered night shift)
10:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m. (3rd shift-night shift)
12-Hour Schedule 2/2/3: work two 3-day weekends (Fri, Sat, Sum) & off two 3-day weekends
7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

Job Description: Manufacturing Production Technicians focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment. A focus on Safety First, Always!
Important Note - Do Not Submit Candidates If They Don't Fully Meet The Following Requirements:
Must have at least 1-year solid work experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment w/current or last employer.
Hiring manager is not interested in candidates that have a Quality Technician background as they are not comparable to Production Technicians.
Experience performing quality in a clean room environment is not comparable to needs for a Production Technician in our non-climate-controlled work environment.
Manager is not interested in candidates with a pharmaceutical or food background.
Manager is not interested in candidates who worked in a retail warehouse environment (ie. Lowes, Walmart). They must have worked in an industrial work environment so they understand the conditions (it's HOT during the summer months!)
Must have been employed during in 2025
Must have been employed during in 2025
Must have Forklift operation experience
Cannot have a gap in employment of 6 months or more from their last employer
Do not submit any former Bridgestone or Bandag teammates (can apply with Bridgestone directly and subject to company rehire policy)
Do not submit any applicants that previously interviewed and were not offered a job (must wait 1 year to apply as temp and eligibility would be based on the reason for rejection)
Do not submit any applicant that was previously offered a direct hire offer but failed or did not complete pre-employment screening (drug screen, physical or background screening)
Do not submit former temporary employees assigned to Bridgestone or Bandag
Candidate Selection Process:
NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR EVERY SUBMITTAL - SUPPLIER INTERVIEW QUESTIONNAIRE
The Hiring Manager has requested that for every candidate submission; a Supplier Interview Questionnaire form is completed and attached along with the resume and the reason you believe the candidate will be a good fit for the role.
If the Supplier Interview Questionnaire is not included with your submittal, the candidate will be disqualified immediately.
The Flexstaff team will email the suppliers with a blank copy of the Supplier Interview Questionnaire when the request is released.
Manager will hire off resume & Supplier Interview Questionnaire so candidates need to be properly vetted! Bridgestone will NOT be conducting interviews.
Staffing agency should screen, interview and select candidate based on requirements. This should NOT be done via email.
Responsibilities Include:
Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production equipment
Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
Maintain accurate daily production records
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Lifting requirements 75+ lbs. on an occasional basis.
Standing is required for the majority of the time (Medium physical effort is required to maneuver through out departments that include climbing stairs, etc.)

Training/Rates:
Current openings are for night shift ($21/hour), but training may occur on day shift ($20/hour).
All candidates should be submitted at $21/hour and their rate will be amended based on the training shift they are assigned to at the start of the assignment.
Duration of training period is still TBD. OT is Required:
For 8-hour schedule, OT could be 4 hours before start time or 4 hours after end time.
For 12-hour schedule, the OT requirement is on a scheduled day off.
The goal is to provide as much notice as possible; however, there may be times when advance notice is not possible.
Bridgestone will conduct Safety, Forklift and all other required company training during group orientation once start date confirmed.
Note: Quality Training (Corporate Quality Standard will require Vision Test)
PPE Required:
Steel-toed shoes required but not provided or reimbursed by Bridgestone
Safety glasses & ear plus required and provided by Bridgestone
Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Pre-Screening Requirements:
Background and drug screening (according to Bridgestone matrix) must be cleared prior to scheduling the Physical Agility screening.
Physical Agility Screening – required to pass Physical Agility screening in order to meet pre-screening requirements:

Suppliers need to call Deborah Bumpass, Patient Coordinator (919-690-3277 x 5720) to schedule the Physical Agility screening after the candidate has cleared all other background components.
Suppliers will cover the cost of the Physical Agility test up front but can submit a miscellaneous fee to be reimbursed by Bridgestone for the cost. Please note, a copy of the physical (do not include personal information) must be emailed to Flexstaff prior to submitting the misc. fee in Beeline.
