Job Summary
This is a skilled technical position with duties to include set up, inspection, adjustments, maintenance operations and repair of audiovisual (AV) equipment. AV staff will be responsible for supporting live events and classes to cover the use of microphones, video recorders, projectors and sound mixing equipment.
Responsibilities
Is responsible for understanding, support, and carrying out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies
Provides technical assistance to faculty, staff and students; provides equipment use instructions
Troubleshoots and repairs various audio and video equipment issues in classrooms
Reserves and sets up audio and video equipment as requested by faculty, staff and students
Assist with installation and maintenance of audio visual equipment
Assist with basic client support duties within the Division of Information Technology
Performs related/assigned duties
Required Qualifications
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one (1) to (2) two years
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated

$19.23/hour
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of information technology best practices
Knowledge of audio visual equipment installation, operation, maintenance and repair
Knowledge of computer and AV networking
Knowledge of/use of Crestron/Extron/QSC control systems
Knowledge/familiarity with Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, HyFlex Classrooms
Knowledge and basic understanding of IP-based AV (NDI, Dante, AV-over-IP)
Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions
Skill in the provision of end user support
Skill in oral and written communication
