UI/UX Developer

REQUIRES AN ACTIVE/EXISTING TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH - NO REMOTE WORK

Seating available in Annapolis Junction, MD Washington, DC or Reston, VA

• Information Architecture & Strategy: Audit legacy applications to identify friction points and define the structural design of shared information environments.
• UX Audit & Synthesis: Analyze features from both existing tools to determine the most efficient path for interface consolidation or new application design.
• User Research & Discovery: Lead usability testing with cleared personnel and translate complex mission requirements into intuitive user flows and wireframes.
• Design System Ownership: Establish and maintain a scalable Design System/UI Kit in Figma to ensure visual and functional consistency across the new application.
• Iterative Development: Architect and develop responsive, ""user-first"" web interfaces using modern frameworks (React/Angular), ensuring designs are pixel-perfect.
• Accessibility: Ensure all designs meet Section 508 compliance standards for high-stakes environments.

Required:
• Information Architecture (IA): Proven ability to organize complex data sets into intuitive navigation models and sitemaps.
• Design Tools: Mastery of Figma (auto-layout, components, and prototyping) and Adobe XD.
• Frontend Engineering: Experience building user-facing web applications using React, Angular, or Vue.
• Web Fundamentals: Expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript.
• Integration: Experience integrating interfaces with RESTful Services."remetns:

• Back-end Awareness: Experience with Java Web, NodeJS, or AWS environments.

Education and Experience:
13 Years of experience in Systems or IT related roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a master's degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience.
