Site Agent - Civil Engineering Projects
Are you a confident Site Agent looking to take ownership of civil engineering schemes in Bowburn, Durham, and lead safe, well‑organised project delivery? Our client is seeking a proactive professional to manage site operations, support project teams, and keep works moving to programme, quality, and commercial expectations.

Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day delivery of civil engineering schemes, ensuring works are planned, resourced, and delivered in line with programme requirements.

Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and develop and review RAMS.

Support temporary works requirements, draft construction phase plans, and lead by example on health, safety, and environmental standards.

Work closely with engineers, planners, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, and clients.

Develop weekly programmes, monitor progress, call off materials, manage information flow, raise technical queries, and help identify risks and opportunities.

Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, support monthly reporting, chair meetings, and ensure records are accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

Strong civil engineering background with experience delivering schemes of a similar value.

HNC, HND, degree, or equivalent civils qualification.

Good IT skills.

CSCS card at a minimum Gold standard.

5‑day SMSTS qualification.

First Aid at Work desirable.

UK driving licence that is clean or low on points.

Benefits
Salary is £60,000, dependent on experience, with a comprehensive package to be discussed. Based in Bowburn, Durham, you will develop technical, commercial, and leadership skills across civil engineering projects, gaining exposure to programme management, NEC/JCT contract requirements, commercial reporting, subcontractor management, quality assurance, and client‑facing delivery.
