Broadband Specialist I – Field Technician
We are seeking a Broadband Specialist I (Field Technician) to primarily focus on new installations of our cable television and broadband services. The role involves driving a company van, traveling to customer homes, representing Mediacom, and performing a variety of installation duties including new installations, changes of service, additional outlet installations, disconnections, payment collection, and special requests from customers.

Position Overview
As a Broadband Specialist I, you will work on customer drop installations, perform new connects and reconnections, analyze picture quality, use hand tools, read signal levels, climb poles, lift loads up to 100 lbs, manage field equipment, inform customers of FCC rules, drive company vehicles, generate additional revenue through sales, and perform other duties such as clean‑up and assisting coworkers, all while adhering to applicable codes, company procedures, and safe work practices.

Position Requirements

No experience required.

High school diploma or GED required.

Valid driver’s license required; satisfactory driving record required.

General level of mechanical and consumer device knowledge.

Ability to interact and communicate with customers and co‑workers.

Ability to work in high or tight spaces.

Ability to work in all weather conditions and at various heights.

Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Physical Requirements

Frequent handling of heavy objects (50‑100 lbs) and heavy hand tools.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $15.75–$17.25 an hour.
