Position Overview
Our New Jersey office is seeking an experienced and strategic

Business Development Manager

to join the Marketing team. This role partners closely with attorneys and practice group leaders to drive revenue growth, strengthen client relationships, and elevate the firm's market presence. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, polished writing skills, and prior experience in a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

Execute marketing and business development strategies aligned with firmwide and practice group goals

Track, analyze, and report on Client initiatives and campaign performance

Identify growth opportunities through competitive intelligence and market research

Proposals & Pitches

Lead coordination and preparation of RFP responses, proposals, and client presentations

Develop and continuously refine pitch materials and proposal processes

Track RFP outcomes and analyze win/loss trends

Market & Client Intelligence

Conduct in-depth research on clients, prospects, industries, and competitors

Prepare detailed reports and briefings for attorneys and leadership

Maintain and update firm experience database

Rankings & Collateral

Produce high-impact submissions for key legal rankings (in collaboration with external PR agencies)

Develop new marketing collateral to position the firm and practice groups

Ensure consistency and efficiency across offices

CRM & Relationship Management

Leverage CRM tools to manage contacts and track engagement

Proactively suggest innovative approaches to reach target audiences

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree required

Minimum 5+ years of marketing or business development experience

Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred

Strong professional writing, proofreading, and editing skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

Experience with CRM systems

Familiarity with Monitor Suite and/or Redwood Analytics is a plus

Additional Information

Some travel between offices required
