As we expand our footprint in the natural grocery channel, we are seeking a driven and strategic Sales Manager to lead new business development and deepen our retail presence.

Position Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving growth within the natural grocery channel by opening new accounts, managing distributor relationships, and strengthening partnerships with retail buyers. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in natural products sales and is comfortable owning the full sales cycle—from prospecting to forecasting to in‑store execution.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development:

Identify, target, and secure new retail accounts within the natural grocery channel, including regional and national chains.

Account Management:

Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with retail buyers and key stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.

Distributor Management:

Develop and manage relationships with distributors to ensure proper product placement, inventory levels, and promotional execution.

Forecasting & Demand Planning:

Create accurate sales forecasts and collaborate cross‑functionally to support production planning, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue targets, including promotional strategies, pricing, and assortment optimization.

Pitch Development & Presentations:

Create compelling PowerPoint pitch decks tailored to retail partners. Lead engaging, data‑driven meetings with buyers and distributors to secure placements and expand shelf presence.

Market Insights & Reporting:

Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing, operations, and leadership teams to align on product launches, promotions, and brand initiatives.

Qualifications

4+ years of sales experience in the natural or specialty grocery channel

Proven success in opening new retail accounts and growing existing business

Strong understanding of distributor networks and retail dynamics

Experience with forecasting, demand planning, and sales analytics

Exceptional presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint

Confident leading meetings with buyers, distributors, and cross‑functional teams

Highly organized, self‑motivated, and results‑driven

Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with emerging or high‑growth CPG brands

Familiarity with natural food brokers and regional distributors

Passion for health, wellness, and better‑for‑you products
