Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Account Executive to lead field sales performance and education initiatives across key prestige beauty retail locations throughout New York City. This role requires a strategic and entrepreneurial sales leader who combines artistry expertise with operational excellence to drive brand growth, strengthen retail partnerships, and elevate in-store execution.
As a brand ambassador and relationship manager, you will ensure exceptional presentation standards, cultivate high-performing retail teams, and create memorable customer experiences that translate into measurable sales success.
Core Responsibilities
Sales & Strategic Execution
Drive sales performance across assigned retail locations, consistently achieving or exceeding monthly sales goals
Execute field education and sales strategies aligned with broader business objectives and retail performance targets
Manage monthly travel and entertainment (T&E) budgets, including timely and accurate expense reporting
Analyze business trends and identify opportunities to increase productivity and sell-through
Retail Partnership Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail store leadership and in-store teams
Partner closely with retail management to support business growth and optimize brand visibility
Strategically manage booking calendars, event schedules, and in-store opportunities to maximize business impact
Plan and execute elevated in-store events, masterclasses, and customer-facing activations
Deliver engaging education across multiple formats including artistry demonstrations, backstage sessions, regional trainings, and team workshops
Ensure all events reflect brand standards, artistry excellence, and luxury service expectations
Team Development & Coaching
Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of freelance artistry and sales talent
Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback through regular touch bases and field support
Lead by example in artistry, professionalism, customer engagement, and sales performance
Foster a collaborative, high-energy team culture focused on accountability and excellence
Required Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Account Executive or in a comparable field leadership role within prestige beauty retail
Minimum 3 years of hands‑on artistry experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding sales goals within a fast‑paced retail environment
Experience supporting luxury beauty or colour cosmetics brands preferred
Exceptional communication and presentation skills across written, verbal, and in‑person interactions
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail reporting systems
Self‑starter mentality with strong problem‑solving capabilities
Collaborative team player with the agility to adapt in a fast‑moving environment
Passion for artistry, education, and luxury client experiences
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. of brand materials and event collateral
Flexibility to travel regularly, including overnight travel as needed
Ability to stand and work on the sales floor for extended periods of time
Weekend availability required
