We are seeking an AVP of Target Markets Operations to lead operational initiatives in underperforming markets and develop detailed market strategies aligned with organizational goals. Reporting to the SVP of Business Development, this role collaborates cross-functionally with corporate leaders and clinical teams to enhance patient care, drive market performance, and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead operations initiatives in targeted markets to optimize best practices in patient care and enhance the overall patient experience

Collaborate with executive leadership to assess underperforming markets and develop strategic operational plans

Align clinical and operational goals with business development strategies to drive market performance

Provide leadership, guidance, and accountability to operational teams to ensure goals are met and standards are upheld

Analyze and evaluate operational productivity, effectiveness, and outcomes to identify areas for improvement

Support research, strategy development, and implementation of business development and operational initiatives

Coach and train operations professionals on effective business strategies through meetings, phone calls, and field visits

Partner with clinical, business development, and operational leaders to establish short- and long-term objectives

Serve as a role model in promoting the company’s core values, positive culture, and professional integrity

Travel as required to support market operations and initiatives

About You

Bachelor’s degree required

5–10 years of operations experience in the healthcare services industry; hospice experience preferred

Strong working knowledge of business operations processes

Proven ability to drive strategy, set targets, and achieve operational goals

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage and influence remote field, mid-level, and executive staff

Highly organized, able to balance multiple priorities, and work independently while functioning as part of a team

Strong professional judgment, problem‑solving skills, and accountability

Proficient with multiple online and computer applications

Strong follow‑up and relationship‑building skills

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

Prior experience leading cross‑functional operational initiatives in healthcare markets
