CBS Sacramento, the owned and operated duopoly in West Sacramento, has an immediate opening for a full-time news photographer/editor.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates should have a working knowledge of the XDCAM EX camera and GRASS VALLEY editing systems.

Candidates should have a working knowledge of live trucks, bonded cellular packs, and be able to travel at a moment’s notice. We are looking for storytellers and team players.

Certified drone pilots are a bonus.

3+ years of television experience covering breaking news, features and sports.

Sound journalistic judgment working with a reporter or solo

Passion for visual storytelling and putting together natural sound pieces

Excellent lighting skills.

Deadline oriented a must

Proficient non-linear editor on all platforms

Experience operating microwave, bonded-cellular packs and/or satellite trucks.

Valid driver’s License and excellent driving record a must

Ability to work any shift, night or day, weekends and holidays

Occasional travel in a moment’s notice and overnight stays when needed
