Location: Statewide. Hybrid schedule to our offices in Sacramento, Fresno or Los Angeles.
Term: Full-time; occasional evenings and weekends required
Position Status: Exempt
Pay Range: $71,106 – $78,488 annual, commensurate with skills and experience
Reports To: Supervising Digital Communications Manager (Communications Department)
Organizational Summary
The mission of the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) is to uphold the humanity of immigrant communities in California by transforming systems to achieve racial, social, and economic justice. CIPC is a non-partisan, non-profit statewide organization engaging in advocacy, organizing, and strategic communications to uplift immigrant communities.
Over the past 30 years, CIPC has led groundbreaking campaigns that have greatly expanded protections and access to publicly funded services for California's low-income immigrant communities.
Position Summary
The Digital Communications Specialist plays a central role in building and engaging CIPC's digital base to advance advocacy campaigns and generate grassroots financial support for the organization. This position sits on the Digital Communications Team within the Communications Department and works closely with Organizing, Policy, and Development staff to create compelling digital content that moves people to action.

Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital media, content creation, digital organizing, social media, communications, or related fields.
Advanced proficiency in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content creation platforms preferred.
Experience with email and digital fundraising platforms (e.g., Action Network, EveryAction, Mailchimp).
Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights, racial justice, and economic justice.
Strong storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to create compelling, concise content for online audiences.
Photography, livestreaming and video production experience is a plus.
Experience creating content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook) and email campaigns.
Experience supporting or executing digital advocacy or fundraising campaigns preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and incorporate feedback.
Familiarity with social media analytics platforms (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, etc.) to inform strategy.
Proficiency in non-English languages spoken by Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, African, Caribbean, or Arab communities is a plus.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel as needed.
