This role leads creative direction for visual and motion design across Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile, working inside Full Bars (our in‑house agency) to deliver brand design, animation, and multi‑format visual storytelling that support marketing objectives. The work spans concepting, art direction, motion, visual systems, and execution across Ecommerce, Media, Brand, and Retention channels. The role partners closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to translate strategy into design and animation that holds a distinct visual identity for each brand, engages our audiences, and continually elevates the creative standard our team is known for.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the design and animation teams to develop high‑quality visual and motion work that meets brand and marketing goals across Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile
Provide actionable feedback through quarterly reviews and ongoing coaching to strengthen craft, career growth, and creative range for designers and animators
Manage team dynamics and performance to keep a productive, collaborative, innovative environment for the team to do its best work
Maintain a consistently high standard of design, animation, and visual storytelling across both brands while evolving aesthetics as business needs change
Partner with the Creative Director, Copy as a dynamic duo to deliver breakthrough integrated creative across promotional campaigns, social, experiential/brand activations, and customer communications
Collaborate with marketing partners, Creative Account Management, and external partners to plan and execute creative projects against shared deadlines
Translate briefs (and more often, conversations) into ideas and visual concepts that drive action
Present creative concepts, rationale, and a persuasive creative vision to senior leadership and stakeholders to secure alignment and buy‑in
Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of related work experience OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
Acceptable areas of study include Design, Animation, Fine Arts, Creative, Advertising, Film or related field (Preferred)
8+ years directing design and animation for national or global brands as a creative director or like creative leader (Preferred)
You’ve worked with leading brands and led design/animation teams to produce award‑winning work (Preferred)
D2C brand experience a strong plus (Preferred)
Mastery of design and animation software including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and motion tools (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Leadership:
A track record of leading design and animation teams and partnering with marketing and production to produce high‑quality motion graphics, video, animation, and graphic design across channels (Required)
Creative Direction:
You have a vision for how every customer touchpoint is evolving visually and can steer the work that direction (Required)
Presentations:
Confidently and persuasively presenting creative concepts to secure buy‑in (Required)
You work independently and proactively. You can take a brief (or more often, a conversation) and turn it into a visual idea. You know when to get others involved and how to work with peers inside and outside Creative (Required)
Problem Solving:
Identify problems and provide solutions, or resolve with a sense of urgency, in a high‑volume, fast‑turnaround environment (Required)
Love storytelling:
Design, art‑direct, and steer work that speaks with, not at, our customers (Required)

Base Pay Range: $114,600 – $206,700
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
