Job Description
The Lighting Tech is needed to work theater/stage lighting. Occasionally some sound operation is required (will be trained) at the newly renovated Media Arts Center and at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center. We are looking to fill this position with a contract employee who will be expected to work on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities
Program basic cue sequences on an ETC Element 2
Show an open willingness to learn
Have basic knowledge of ETC consoles
etworking and current lighting technology
Have basic understanding of wiring and electronics, special effects, and theatrical rigging
Work independently and be self‑motivated
Manage stress (e.g., working under deadlines, irregular work schedules, long hours)
Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as event needs require
Be comfortable working in high places and able to lift up to 50 lbs
Requirements
Experience with ETC Element 2
Some professional theatrical electrician experience
One year experience working with lighting for productions and events
One year of customer service experience
Experience using A/V equipment
Bachelor's degree or trade school degree

Compensation: $40/hr
Location: Roxbury campus
Unit Status: Non-Union
