Festival Coordinator, Technical Exhibition

The Festival Coordinator, Technical Exhibition is charged with coordinating warehouse operations and technical production logistics for the Sundance Film Festival.
Working closely under the Director, Technical Exhibition, the Coordinator supports a range of technical production needs for the organization and the Sundance Film Festival, contributing to its overall success.
This temporary position works full-time from Monday, June 15, 2026, through Friday, August 28, 2026, and will be required to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position must be based within a commutable distance to Boulder, CO in order to work onsite in a hybrid capacity throughout its employment.
Responsibilities

Receiving, inventorying, and disposing of items in the Boulder-based storage facility, and handling deliveries.
Prepping and moving materials and equipment related to the build‑out of our Boulder venues and construction projects.
Maintaining the department timeline and production schedule, including reviewing for accuracy and ensuring updates are made in a timely manner.
Communicating effectively with vendors, partners, company executives, and various internal teams to solidify timelines related to technical production and ensure deadlines are met.
Supporting the Director, Technical Exhibition and Senior Manager, Exhibition Production with pre‑Festival event planning calls, including taking detailed notes, and documenting key decisions.
Supporting the collection of content such as digital files and slide shows for various venues.
Documenting build‑outs and installations with photos, drawings, and notes.
Assisting the Senior Manager, Exhibition Production, with the scheduling and running of the Tech Checks and Oddballs.
Assisting with event production and logistics related to audio or video production, lighting, staging, and live streaming from pre‑production through execution.
Coordinating with the Director and Manager to help track event production budgets.
Managing hardware inventory, tracking, shipping, and distributing in support of events.
Supporting special projects for the team, as directed.
Traveling to various theaters, venues, and temporary structures to support onsite execution.
Requirements

2 years of experience in an event production, operations, or related technical role.
Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to move items that weigh 50-75 lbs.
Working knowledge of databases, along with proficiency in Microsoft and Google Products preferred.
Valid driver’s license and successful completion of MVR background check.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
