UI/UX Engineer (Front-End Focus)
Charlotte, NC

2 days office / 3 days home

12-24 months (open to converting to perm)

W2 Rate - $70-72/hr – NO 1099 NO CTC NO THIRD PARTY

Seeking candidates who have experience in both design and front-end development. This role is structured as follows:

Target split: 50% UX / 50% Front-End Development (ideal balance)

Candidates may lean slightly toward either side, but must demonstrate capability in both areas

Preference for candidates who lean slightly toward front-end development with design capability

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience in front-end development principles

Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (preferred: React) will accept Angular

Angular experience is a plus (current environment uses Angular)

Strong TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development skills.

Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to contribute to design concepts

Experience collaborating with UX/design teams to translate design system requirements into reusable, scalable components that align implementation with design intent

Preferred: Experience building reusable components within a design system or component library.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Figma (helpful, not mandatory due to potential tooling transition)

Exposure to both React and Angular (strong advantage, especially Angular adaptation ability)

Portfolio demonstrating design thinking and front-end execution (helpful but not strictly required)

Day to Day

Design and develop user interfaces for modern web applications

Translate UX concepts and wireframes into functional front-end code

Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, and product teams to deliver cohesive experiences

Contribute to design concepts as well as implementation

Build responsive, scalable, and reusable UI components

Participate in design-to-development workflows and iterative product refinement

Support transition of UX tooling and design systems as needed (e.g., Figma migration)
