Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain broadcast and computer equipment at the board level
- Support live television and multimedia production environments
- Provide technical support in fast-paced, high-pressure news production settings
- Assist with equipment installation, cable routing, and system maintenance
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and production teams to resolve technical issues
- Support 24x7x365 production operations and shift-based coverage as required
- Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and strong partnership skills across teams
Required Skill
- 1+ years of experience in:
- Television production
- Multimedia content support
- Broadcast maintenance
- IT client services
- Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience with broadcast/computer equipment
- Live production support experience
Familiarity with:
- Server environments
- Networking topology
- Operating systems such as Windows and Unix/Linux
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and interact professionally with demanding stakeholders
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders when required
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to broadcast technologies/vendors such as:
- Sony
- Harmonic
- Evertz
- Familiarity with ITSM/Service Management processes
- Microsoft network certification or similar
- Basic programming or scripting skills (HTML, VB, C++, scripting)
- Experience with:
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Visio
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
- Willingness to learn proprietary broadcast systems and applications
