Position Summary
The Associate Director, Market Access Marketing will play a key role in supporting the launch of atacicept in a dynamic environment. This role executes market access marketing initiatives, leads coverage assessments, advances payer research, develops high‑quality payer‑facing materials, and supports field team readiness. The Associate Director collaborates with National and Regional Account Directors, Trade & Distribution, Patient Hub, Marketing, Commercial Operations, HEOR, Medical Affairs, and external partners to ensure access strategies are aligned, compliant, and effectively executed to support launch objectives.
Responsibilities
Lead hands‑on execution of market access marketing initiatives in support of atacicept launch.
Translate access strategy into high‑quality payer‑facing marketing materials, including payer value stories, access tools, and resources.
Lead coverage assessments and competitive access analyses to inform payer trends and access strategies.
Deliver training for field‑based Market Access teams and ensure readiness with access materials.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with National & Regional Account Directors, Trade & Distribution, Patient Hub, Marketing, Commercial Operations, HEOR, and Medical Affairs for alignment and timely delivery.
Drive launch readiness by managing access marketing deliverables, timelines, and review processes.
Manage agencies and external vendors, providing clear direction and oversight to ensure high‑quality, on‑time execution.
Operate effectively in a pre‑commercial environment, adapting priorities and approaches as launch plans evolve.
Contribute insights from launch execution to inform future indication expansion and lifecycle access strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or related field) strongly preferred.
7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech market access, payer marketing, or related commercial functions.
4+ years in Market Access Marketing, Patient Support Services, or Payer Account Management.
Demonstrated success developing and executing payer‑focused marketing tools, preferably for a product launch.
Strong knowledge of the payer landscape, reimbursement pathways, and key access drivers.
Thorough understanding of Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review processes.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders.
Proven project management, prioritization, and agility skills in fast‑paced environments.
Experience managing external vendors and agencies, with accountability for quality and timelines.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with ability to influence across functions and levels.
Compensation
Vera Therapeutics is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The anticipated base pay range for this role is $152,000 – $210,000 USD, depending on geography, qualifications, and experience.
