Job Description
At Times Union Media Group, we are looking for a results‑driven Sales Executive to manage the full sales cycle, build client relationships, and drive new business. This role offers hybrid flexibility, a culture of growth, and uncapped commission alongside a competitive base pay.

Responsibilities

Own the sales cycle: From cold outreach to closing, consult with businesses to deliver custom print and digital media campaigns.

Manage book of business: Work with existing clients whose marketing is trusted to The Times Union Media Group, ensuring delivery and upselling additional solutions.

Build client relationships: Serve as a trusted marketing advisor, recommending solutions across content marketing, SEO, display, social media, programmatic, print, and more.

Drive new business: Prospect new leads through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and community engagement.

Leverage cutting‑edge tools: Use advanced sales platforms such as ChatGPT Enterprise and Gong.io to increase efficiency, improve messaging, and shorten the sales cycle.

Collaborate for success: Work closely with account managers and internal teams for seamless campaign execution.

Track performance: Manage pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce, ensuring accurate revenue projections and reporting.

What You’ll Bring

2+ years experience for Account Executive and 5+ years for Strategic Account Executive role with business‑to‑business sales experience, preferably in media, advertising, or marketing.

A successful history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.

Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Self‑starter mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), Excel, and PowerPoint.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation
In New York State, the estimated base salary starts at $50,000+ with on‑target earnings ranging from $75,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on performance. Salary ranges for other locations will align with local market rates.
