The Multimedia Analyst will be supporting the Information Technology Department serving as the Audio-Visual Assistant Technician. The incumbent will be operating and troubleshooting audio visual equipment in support of public meetings including television broadcasts, web streaming and recorded meetings. The incumbent will also be responsible for post‑production video editing and conversion.
Evening work and irregular hours will be required .
This job opportunity is a Part‑time/Contract position, for a 500‑hour contract, not eligible for benefits.
Assists with the operation of a variety of video, audio and lighting equipment
Operates and troubleshoots video switcher equipment during public meetings
Performs post‑production video editing
Troubleshoots issues with audio, AV display, and video encoding equipment
Provides technical assistance with AV functionality in city conference rooms
Stays current with new technologies in the video production and broadcast field
Ensures consistency with City branding and marketing standards
Assists with training staff on the administration of teleconferencing software
Creates documentation of technical solutions
Performs other duties of similar nature
The ideal candidates must have strong communication skills, the ability to translate technical information into standardized procedures and ability to work well under pressure.
Applicants must be familiar with:
Windows OS and basic troubleshooting procedures
Using computers and related software applications
Audio and video equipment
Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, OneDrive)
Skill and experience with:
Database management and/or administration principles
YouTube Live streaming
Teleconferencing software such as Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom
Mobile camera equipment
Audio and video equipment used for meetings and broadcasts
ATEM Software or Video Switcher use
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent; experience or interest in broadcast, video production, graphic design, desktop publishing, marketing, or closely related field.
An Associate’s degree in a technology, communications, administration or a closely related field is desirable.
