Job Summary
Content Platforms’ Avails Team is seeking a Sr Product Manager II to lead the development, execution, and long‑term success of products that enable the global rights distribution of the Walt Disney Company’s world‑class content through licensing partner channels. In this role you will shape the future of the content supply chain that powers Disney’s content distribution worldwide, acting as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders, design, and engineering to define product vision, translate customer and partner needs into scalable capabilities, and guide cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact solutions.

Responsibilities

Utilize modern product discovery methods to gain a deep understanding of the problem space and develop solutions leveraging those insights.

Establish and evangelize product strategies that align with the mission of our organization and create value for our business.

Lead business partner engagements to analyze the value proposition of business requests and provide alternative solutions as needed, staying consistently focused on the product strategy.

Own the definition of cost/benefit analysis and prepare lean business cases.

Collaborate with engineering, design, and other domains to create products that offer long‑term value for our business.

Be accountable for the successful delivery of product solutions and their subsequent performance.

Establish and drive toward realistic product targets (OKRs).

Apply product frameworks and tools to document information in a structured way (user journey maps, flows, information architecture, etc.).

Manage maintenance and prioritization of product backlog, ensuring transparent, well‑aligned & justified prioritization within the area of responsibility.

Participate in daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Coordinate major product releases.

Own system processes, user guides, and training materials on product features where needed.

Assist in process alignment and standardization.

Develop and nurture cross‑domain relationships built on mutual trust and respect.

Create an environment that inspires passion and innovation.

Mentor and invest in the growth of other team members.

Seek out learning opportunities and share valuable insights with teammates.

Develop deep expertise and provide thought leadership in the product area.

Required Education, Experience & Skills

7+ years of product management experience, preferably within digital and/or mobile platforms.

Strong product acumen with deep platform knowledge and technical fluency.

Proven track record of building, launching, and scaling products that deliver business value and align with organizational mission.

Highly self‑motivated, able to work autonomously under tight timelines while consistently meeting deadlines.

Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate objectives, progress, risks, and outcomes to diverse audiences.

Strong research capabilities, translating insights into actionable recommendations or alternative solutions.

Expertise in problem discovery, definition, and validation.

Demonstrated ability to define, own, and execute product roadmaps.

Solid understanding of business modeling and financial analysis, including structured cost‑benefit assessments.

Proficiency in writing, prioritizing, and refining user stories and product requirements.

Ability to adapt quickly and pivot effectively as business strategies and product priorities evolve.

Clear understanding of modern development processes, methodologies, and tools (Agile, Scrum).

Extensive experience collaborating cross‑functionally with engineering, design, operations, and other stakeholders.

Strong problem‑solving skills, delivering creative and high‑quality solutions to complex digital challenges.

Proven ability to drive successful execution through collaboration, influence, and product evangelization.

Deep understanding of how to leverage technology to deliver innovative, scalable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within the media and entertainment industry.

Strong passion for and interest in Disney brands and storytelling.

Solid understanding of media production workflows, digital video pipelines, and/or consumer‑facing video product features.

Knowledge of and experience with product management for content rights, licensing, and availability.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Compensation
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is $155,700.00 – $208,700.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
