Objective:

Develop foundational knowledge of digital media buying platforms and paid advertising structures.

Learned Skill / Project:

The intern will learn how paid media accounts are structured across platforms (e.g., Meta, Google), including campaigns, ad sets, targeting, budgets, and creative formats, and will assist in organizing and setting up draft campaigns.

Measurement:

Success will be measured by the intern’s ability to accurately outline a paid media account structure and contribute to at least one draft media setup reviewed and approved by the supervising manager.

Learning Objective 2: Audience Targeting & Media Planning
Objective:

Build skills in analyzing paid media performance and applying insights to optimize campaigns.

Learned Skill / Project:

The intern will assist in reviewing campaign performance data, learning key metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, and ROAS, and will help summarize performance insights and optimization recommendations.

Measurement:

Success will be measured by the intern’s ability to produce performance summaries and optimization recommendations that demonstrate understanding of paid media metrics and campaign performance trends.

Objective:

Learn how to identify and define target audiences and translate them into paid media targeting strategies.

Learned Skill / Project:

The intern will support audience research and assist in developing a paid media planning document, including audience definitions, platform recommendations, budget allocation, and flighting considerations.

Measurement:

Success will be measured by completion of a paid media planning document and the intern’s demonstrated understanding of targeting logic, evaluated through manager review and feedback.

Learning Objective 3: Performance Analysis & Optimization
Objective:

The intern will assist in reviewing campaign performance data, learning key metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, and ROAS, and will help summarize performance insights and optimization recommendations.

Responsibilities

Assist in the setup and organization of paid media campaigns across platforms such as Meta and Google, including campaigns, ad sets, targeting, budgets, and creative formats

Support the development of paid media campaigns for internal review and approval

Conduct audience research to help define target segments and inform paid media strategies

Contribute to the creation of paid media planning documents, including audience definitions, platform recommendations, budget allocation, and campaign flighting

Analyze campaign performance data and track key metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, and ROAS

Assist in developing performance summaries that highlight key insights, trends, and opportunities

Support optimization efforts by identifying actionable recommendations to improve campaign performance

Collaborate with team members on media strategy, execution, and reporting across client and internal projects

Participate in ongoing learning and application of digital marketing best practices and paid media strategies

Work alongside experienced marketing professionals to contribute to real-world client initiatives and agency projects
