Tech-Savvy Student Wanted for Live Event Control Booth

Athena VII Coffee Bistro & Event Center in Sandy is looking for a bright, tech-oriented high school junior or senior who enjoys computers, technology, audio/video systems, and live events.

This is not a typical food-service job. You’ll help build and operate the technology systems behind live events, music performances, debates, presentations, and community gatherings.

Responsibilities
Ideal candidate:

Comfortable with computers and learning new software

Interested in technology, AV, streaming, gaming setups, automation, or production

Reliable and able to learn independently

Calm under pressure during live events

Interested in gaining real-world experience with professional event systems

Qualifications

Setting up event “scenes” and control software

Audio/video and lighting systems

Touchscreen event controls

Live streaming and production support

Computer setup and troubleshooting

Event setup and operation

Experience or interest in any of the following is a plus:

Computers & gaming PCs

Streaming or YouTube production

Audio/video systems

Lighting systems

Bitfocus Companion

Blackmagic ATEM

ChamSys MagicQ

Digital mixers and live event technology

Experience is helpful but not required if you are highly motivated and quick to learn.

Additional Information
Flexible part-time hours. Some evening or weekend events may be included.

Pay: Starting around $15–18/hour depending on experience and skill level, with opportunities for increased responsibility.
