Visual Effects Artist

Base pay range
$55.00/hr - $75.00/hr

An Insight Global client is seeking to hire talented VFX Artists for a fully remote contract opportunity!

Role & Responsibilities

Role Focus: This is a VFX specialist position, not a motion designer role. Candidates must have hands‑on experience creating visual effects for film or AAA gaming.

Objective: Enhance videos—primarily landscapes or subjects—with semi‑realistic, enriching visual effects.

Creative Direction: Inspired by Higgs‑Field style effects (e.g., motion wraps, dynamic elements around hands) to add depth and energy to footage.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a VFX Artist with an excellent portfolio displaying previous work.

Skilled in tools such as Houdini, Nuke, Maya, and Adobe After Effects.

Skilled in creating actual motion effects and animation (vs matte painting, green‑screen replacement, reflection removal, etc.).

Motion Graphics experience such as creating animated titles, lower thirds, infographics, and other dynamic elements for video projects.

Strong understanding of compositing, keyframing, and animation principles.

Highly Desired Experience

Previous experience working on action and fantasy films (e.g., Marvel movies) and/or DC comic movies (Batman, Superman, etc.).

Previous experience working on AAA games.
