We are looking for a high-energy, result-driven

Area Sales Manager

to lead and grow our sales operations across the South Karnataka territory. The ideal candidate will manage distributor and retail networks, drive both B2B institutional sales and channel sales, and build strong brand presence for

in the region.

Sales & Business Development

Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the allocated territory across retail, wholesale, and institutional segments

Identify and onboard new distributors, retail chains, stationery stores, schools, colleges, and corporate accounts

Drive sales of the full product range notebooks, journals, diaries, spiral/wire-o notebooks, registers, account books, notepads, and multi-subject notebooks

Develop and execute a territory-level sales plan aligned with overall company targets

Track competitor activity — pricing, product launches, trade schemes, and distributor relationships

Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports, beat plans, and collection reports to the management

Gather customer feedback and share actionable insights with the product and marketing teams.

Execute BTL (Below-The-Line) activities — in-store branding, school/college activations, trade promotions — to build the

Team Management

Lead, train, and mentor a team of Sales Representatives / Sales Officers in the territory

Set daily/weekly/monthly targets for the team, track performance, and provide regular coaching

Conduct regular field accompaniments and performance reviews

Preferred candidate profile
Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Experience

3–8 years of sales experience, preferably in stationery, FMCG, publishing, paper products, or education supplies

Proven track record of managing a territory, distributor network, and a field sales team

Experience in institutional / B2B sales is a strong advantage

Skills

Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills

Good understanding of the south Karnataka retail and institutional market landscape

Proficiency in basic CRM/reporting tools

Ability to travel extensively within the territory

Self-motivated with a target-driven mindset

Languages

Kannada proficiency is

mandatory ; English and Hindi are preferred
