Our bug bounty arm continuously secures the ecosystem, having safely disclosed live issues to various Web3 projects over the past years, including Chainlink, Optimism, Arbitrum, Uniswap and AAVE. In the competitive audit landscape, the Trust team established MVP status by consistently winning contests by a wide margin.

The founder (Trust) leads all technical execution and delivery. We are looking for a Commercial Director to own and operate the commercial, brand, and relationship surface of the firm.

Role Overview
This is a lead, founder‑adjacent independent contractor role, structured as a long‑term, full‑time‑equivalent engagement.

You will own TrustSec’s commercial surface area end‑to‑end: brand positioning, inbound demand, partnerships, and client relationships. You will work closely with the founder, who retains final authority on pricing, contracts, and financial decisions. We believe in a slim, tightly‑packed, high‑signal formation—no employees would be assigned, and external contractors would be engaged for specific scope support.

Your mandate is to turn exceptional technical work into sustained market trust, high‑quality inbound demand, and long‑term client relationships—without compromising credibility or signal.

This is not a traditional sales or marketing role. It is a position of trust and ownership over nearly the entire non‑technical surface of the business.

Responsibilities
Brand & Positioning

Own and evolve TrustSec’s market narrative and positioning from a very early stage starting point.

Ensure consistency across all published contents, including posts, announcements, social presence and marketing material.

Translate complex technical work into clear, credible market messaging.

Demand & Visibility

Design and execute inbound demand driven by reputation and expertise.

Proactively & reactively identify opportunities to drive business demand through high‑signal, reputation‑aligned marketing avenues.

Coordinate content, research releases, and announcements.

Build visibility with protocol founders, core dev teams, foundations and ecosystem leaders.

Conferences & External Presence

Decide which conferences and ecosystem events matter.

Secure speaking opportunities, private meetings, and high‑signal engagements.

Represent TrustSec externally with professionalism and discretion.

Organize side events or private gatherings when appropriate.

Partnerships & Client Relationships

Be the first point of contact for inbound leads, referrals, and partners.

Lead early‑stage client discussions.

Coordinate proposals and commercial discussions.

Bring the founder into conversations at the right time for technical depth and deal closure.

Build and maintain long‑term strategic relationships.

Who This Role Is For
This role is designed for someone who has already built and owned a commercial or growth function in a demanding and dynamic environment. It is not a stepping‑stone role or a managerial title upgrade— it is a long‑term position of trust and leverage.

You are likely

A highly‑experienced, commercial, growth, or partnerships leader in Web3, crypto infrastructure, or in the security space.

Or an early employee who built and owned go‑to‑market at a respected technical company.

Comfortable working directly with founders, CTOs, and protocol leadership.

You have

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Equally capable of strategic out‑of‑the‑box thinking and hands‑on execution.

Strong judgment and taste.

High credibility with technical audiences.

The ability to operate independently and without heavy process or playbooks.

Demonstrable experience in all role components, with specialization in brand development and high‑signal marketing.

A Web3‑native mindset, backed by strong networking across Web3 ecosystems.

Nice to Have

Experience leading related scopes for a security firm or other high‑credibility business.

Prior founder or founder‑adjacent experience.

Familiarity with dev & security jargon.
