About the Job
The Senior Account Director is a senior executive responsible for maximizing client retention and revenue expansion. This team member leads the client journey strategy, from onboarding to adoption and renewal, by building high-performing account management teams, utilizing data-driven insights, and aligning agency goals with client outcomes.

Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Relationship Management

Oversee and manage a portfolio of B2B and B2C healthcare and MedTech clients

Act as a strategic advisor to clients, providing guidance on marketing performance, optimization, and growth opportunities

Participate in key client meetings, including onboarding calls, escalation calls, and quarterly business reviews

Support client retention and scope expansion initiatives

Team Leadership & Support

Supervise and mentor Account Managers and Account Coordinators

Review client strategies, timelines, and deliverables to ensure quality and consistency

Support onboarding and training of new account team members following established processes

Provide ongoing feedback and contribute to performance evaluations and development plans

Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Ensure account management processes and SOPs are followed consistently

Monitor project timelines, client health, and profitability, escalating risks when needed

Collaborate closely with project management, operations, and marketing teams to improve workflows and outcomes

Use KPIs and performance data to inform recommendations and decision-making

Requirements

8+ years of experience in account management within a B2B marketing or digital agency.

Proven experience managing client relationships and marketing strategies

Previous experience mentoring or leading junior team members

Strong understanding of agency operations and project workflows

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior client stakeholders

High emotional intelligence and strong relationship-building skills

Experience working with project management tools (Teamwork preferred) and standard agency tools (Google Workspace, CRMs)

Healthcare, MedTech, or regulated-industry experience is a strong plus

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant agency experience
