Drberg is hiring: Video Editor (AI/Animation) in New York

Drberg, New York, NY, USA

Pay: $30-$40/hr

Job type: Full Time

Job Overview
If you live and breathe video editing and have a keen eye and skill for AI animations, this is one of the best canvases on the internet. Dr. Berg Nutritionals reaches over 46 million followers across platforms, and our YouTube channel alone has built one of the largest health and wellness audiences in the world. We are doubling down on short-form, long-form and AI-driven animation, and we are looking for the editor who is going to lead that creative direction with us.

You will edit 15 to 20 educational YouTube Shorts every week, contribute to long-form videos that millions of people watch to make better health decisions, and create the AI-generated 3D-style animations that bring those videos to life. Your work will not sit in a portfolio. It will run on screens around the world the same week you make it.

Who You Are
You are a strong video editor first. You can take a script, find the story, cut for retention, and deliver clean, polished short-form and long-form work. You understand that pacing is a craft, that hooks make or break a Short, and that captions and sound design are not afterthoughts.

On top of that, you are fluent in AI animation. Midjourney, Runway, Pika, Leonardo, Sora, Kling, and whatever launched last week are part of your toolkit. You can build 3D-style animated scenes that illustrate complex health concepts and drop them seamlessly into the videos you are editing.

You are excited about educational content. The work you are most proud of teaches people something. You see health and wellness as one of the most meaningful spaces to do that work.

What You Will Be Doing

Editing 15 to 20 educational YouTube Shorts per week, from raw footage through final export

Editing long-form YouTube content with strong narrative structure and visual storytelling

Creating AI-generated 3D-style animated scenes to illustrate health concepts within both Shorts and long-form videos

Crafting hook-first openings, retention-optimized pacing, and sound design that elevates the message

Designing captions that read clearly on mobile and reinforce the educational point

Iterating with our YouTube and content teams on what is working and where we can push the creative further

What You Bring
Required

Strong video editing skills across both short-form vertical and long-form horizontal formats

Working command of AI video and image tools (Midjourney, Runway, Pika, Leonardo, or comparable) and the ability to produce 3D-style animated scenes

A portfolio that demonstrates both your editing work and AI animation work

Demonstrated ability to edit fast, retention-driven vertical content

Strong instincts for sound design and caption craft on short-form

Clear understanding of hooks, narrative structure, and what makes short-form content travel

Experience producing content in an educational niche (health, science, finance, history, etc.). We are not looking for entertainment-industry editors.
