Summary

This role leads branded content productions for video and still campaigns from concept through launch, serving as the primary production lead across all phases. Responsibilities include managing on-location shoots, coordinating cross-functional teams, and acting as the main point of contact for clients. The position oversees production planning, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management while ensuring projects stay on timeline and within budget. The role also supports creative ideation, post-production oversight, and administrative wrap-up, including legal documentation, invoicing, and cost reporting. Strong collaboration, organization, and hands-on production leadership are essential to deliver high-quality campaigns.
Key Responsibilities

Leading branded content productions for video and still campaigns from beginning (ideation) to end (launch)
Attending shoots and overseeing all on-location production needs as the team lead in the field
Facilitating communication with clients and collaborating with internal Matador teams including Matador Studios, social media, sales, ad operations, and accounting
Building production schedules, budgets, timelines, and other campaign tools
Contributing to creative ideation and deck building
Tracking projects within Asana
Sourcing and hiring freelance crew members and on-camera talent
Negotiating rates with production hires and vendors
Arranging travel for talent and crew
Staying within an allotted production budget and tracking/reporting costs regularly
Securing all necessary legal paperwork including location agreements, appearance releases, and COIs
Approving and processing invoices for crew per Matador’s standard operating procedures
Overseeing edits, working with editors, and sourcing postproduction assets such as music, graphics, etc.
Preparing a wrap book to the best of contractor’s ability (uploading all releases, contracts, and important paperwork)

Required Skills

Ability to keep a project moving from start to finish
Ability to stay organized and detail oriented
Experience prioritizing when juggling multiple tasks/projects at once
Must be an expert with time management for yourself and others
Experience managing crews in the field
A deep understanding of people and ability to work with and manage all types of personalities
Ability to accurately report costs and producing within a fixed budget
Ability to stay professional and calm under pressure
Communicating clearly and respectfully with everyone from high-level clients to day-player production assistants
Articulating clearly in emails and maintaining professional email etiquette
Experience in a fast-moving and agile environment, such as at a start-up, agency, or media company
A deep understanding of Matador’s voice, audience, and brand
A love for travel, adventure, and people
Qualifications/Experience/Education

7+ years’ experience producing branded video content, ideally in the travel industry
Experience working as a producer with large brand clients
Ability to communicate with your team using primarily Slack and email
Experience with remote work. Able to get tasks done promptly.
Proficiency and confidence using Dropbox, Google Drive - especially Sheets (or Excel) - and project management tools such as Asana
Familiarity with production tools (i.e. you can talk the talk) such as professional camera and audio equipment and editing programs
Nuts and Bolts

Full-time independent contractor position with monthly compensation.
Remote position (i.e., working from your home office when not traveling for work)
Based in a North American time zone (working hours: approximately 9 AM – 5:30 PM)
Must be willing to travel, if required.
