Relationship Assistant
Provides administrative and lending support to the lending personnel within the bank. Responsible for processing loan documents including set-up and maintenance. Answers telephones, greet customers or guests, closes loans with customers with officer approval, and performs general support duties.
Primary duties and responsibilities include overseeing the development and maintenance of loan and credit files, preparing various loan documents for bankers, processing and following up on new and renewal documents, preparing packets for the appraisal department, processing and closing loan documents in person with customers, preparing the loan set up sheet, ordering loan documents through commercial attorney, processing loans from approval to closing, answering NSF's and tracking financial exceptions, sending out new and renewal documents, obtaining signatures for approvals of various exceptions, attending loan assistant meetings, ordering title commitments, flood certificates, appraisals, title binder extensions, UCC searches and credit reports, approving HUD's for closing, requesting plans and cost breakdown sheets for interims, processing customer requests or inquiries including loan draws or transfers, placing red flag verifications on all consumer loans, communicating loan status with the loan origination department, compliance department, banker, and customers, working directly with branch staff to coordinate and facilitate account opening needs, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all clients onboarding documentation, understanding and agreeing to abide by the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank, performing duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, maintaining the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records, maintaining current and up-to-date knowledge and continuing professional development through training as applicable, demonstrating a courteous, pleasant, self-motivated, and dependable behavior, maintaining a professional environment in both appearance and conduct, and performing additional duties as assigned or directed.
Education and experience required include an associate degree or equivalent education and experience, previous job related and customer service experience in a financial institution preferred. Skills and abilities required include job knowledge/technical knowledge, accuracy, attention to details, organizational skills, analytical skills, problem solving, good time management, strong verbal and written communication skills, and cooperation/teamwork.
