The Opportunity

We are entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a senior communications leader who can operate as both a strategic advisor and operational owner across complex client accounts.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • lead nuanced founder and executive relationships,
  • translate ambiguity into strategic direction,
  • guide high-level communications strategy,
  • maintain momentum across multiple workstreams,
  • and help scale a modern strategic communications firm built for the AI and infrastructure era.

You will work closely with Vansary’s founder while also serving as a trusted lead across client relationships, team development, and agency operations.

The ideal person is intellectually curious, commercially aware, calm under pressure, highly organized, and excited by the intersection of media, technology, business, and culture.

What You’ll LeadStrategic Client Leadership

  • Own and lead a portfolio of fintech, AI, cybersecurity, and emerging-tech accounts
  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to founders, executives, and marketing leaders
  • Translate business priorities into communications, visibility, and positioning strategies
  • Lead messaging refinement, narrative development, and executive thought leadership initiatives
  • Identify proactive storylines, market tensions, and industry moments worth owning

Communications & Media Strategy

  • Guide high-level media strategy across business, technology, finance, and trade press
  • Oversee pitch development, messaging direction, and editorial positioning
  • Shape executive visibility opportunities across speaking, awards, contributed content, podcasts, and ecosystem partnerships
  • Ensure communications strategies align with broader company growth and GTM priorities
  • Maintain strong editorial judgment and a high standard for narrative quality

Account & Team Operations

  • Drive day-to-day account momentum while balancing long-term strategic priorities
  • Create clarity and structure across fast-moving client environments
  • Mentor and develop junior team members across writing, media strategy, and client management
  • Improve operational systems, workflows, and team processes as the agency scales
  • Partner closely with leadership on resourcing, client health, and agency growth planning

Agency Growth & Industry Presence

  • Support new business conversations, proposals, and strategic recommendations
  • Contribute to Vansary’s positioning, thought leadership, and long-term growth direction
  • Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and ecosystem gatherings when relevant
  • Help shape the future evolution of Vansary as a modern communications and advisory firm

What You Bring

  • 7–10+ years of experience in strategic communications, PR, executive visibility, or narrative strategy
  • Strong experience within fintech, B2B technology, cybersecurity, AI, venture capital, or regulated industries
  • Proven ability to independently manage sophisticated client relationships and high-ambiguity environments
  • Excellent editorial instincts and strong long-form and short-form writing skills
  • Deep understanding of how communications intersects with company growth, fundraising, reputation, and market positioning
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced founder environments with shifting priorities
  • Strong organizational and operational instincts; ability to create structure without over-bureaucratizing
  • Interest in how AI and emerging technologies are reshaping communications and knowledge work
  • Collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and high emotional intelligence
