Job Summary
PayPal is seeking a senior commercial leader to direct sales strategy, retail media acquisition, and revenue growth for PayPal Ads. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth and strategic expansion by building deep, long‑term partnerships with enterprise Retail Media Networks. They will own the full sales lifecycle – from prospecting and solution positioning to negotiations and contract close – while aligning PayPal’s advertising platform and data‑driven capabilities to support Retail Media Networks’ monetization and performance objectives. The Director will work cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Finance to shape go‑to‑market strategy, enhance product value, and deliver measurable business outcomes for partners.

Essential Responsibilities

Define and execute sales strategy for a major region or vertical

Lead and develop sales leaders and high‑performing teams

Own revenue forecasting, planning and reporting

Represent ad sales in cross‑functional leadership forums

Drive innovation in ad product adoption and client engagement

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience

2 years of experience leading others

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications

Proven track record closing multi‑million‑dollar strategic partnerships with senior executives, including development and execution of complex commercial agreements.

Deep knowledge of retail media economics, omnichannel advertising, data‑driven marketing, and measurement technology; experience selling platform/technology solutions into Retail Media Networks, marketplaces, or major retailers is a strong plus.

Familiarity with PayPal’s consumer ecosystem, first‑party data assets, and advertiser demand signals.

High business and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into insights and drive strategic decisions.

Exceptional executive presence with the ability to communicate, influence, and build relationships at the senior leadership level.

Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrixed, cross‑functional global organization.

Customer‑centric mindset with strong operational discipline and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast‑evolving environment.

Self‑directed and results‑oriented; comfortable with ambiguity and leading through change.

Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements, internal alignment, and industry events.
