Summer Conferences Operations & Marketing Intern (President's Office)
Job Description:
MCLA Conferences & Events is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Operations & Marketing Intern to support the department in delivering high‑quality conference services, events and enhancing its digital presence. This internship offers hands‑on experience in event coordination, customer service, marketing, content creation, and project management.
The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and excited to learn both the logistical and promotional sides of conference and event operations.
Assist with check‑ins for rental and conference groups, ensuring a smooth guest experience.
Organize, track, and distribute linens for groups that request them.
Complete room condition reports with the Event Coordinator before and after conference stays.
Support event logistics such as signage placement, space walkthroughs, and basic room setups.
Monitor in‑progress events and elevate any issues to staff.
Capture high‑quality photos and videos of events, rental setups, and campus spaces for promotional use.
Build and organize a visual content library for departmental marketing needs.
Refresh and support marketing plans for signature events such as the Lecture Series.
Work closely with the Web Manager to support website improvements.
Create storyboards, layout drafts, and content ideas for updated or new website pages.
Provide curated photos, videos, and written content for website enhancements.
Requirements:
This role is in person; interns must be present in the President's office.
Hours are flexible around class schedules but may include occasional evenings or weekends depending on event needs.
Professionalism, reliability, and clear communication are essential.
20 Hours per week from 06/01/2026-08/01/2026 occasional evenings/weekends based on event schedule.
Additional Information:
