Job Overview
In this Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer Associate position you will be responsible for writing, validating, and maintaining organizational‑level technical publications for on‑equipment maintenance of C‑130 B‑H, C‑130J or C‑5 aircraft. Publications are developed in the Organizational Maintenance Manual Set (OMMS) and S1000D formats and maintained in LM Aeronautics Virtually Integrated System for Technical Authoring (VISTA) and Technical Content Authoring and Management System (TCAMS) using SGML and XML.

Responsibilities
• Creation of operation and maintenance technical publications for complex aircraft electrical and avionics systems, including automatic flight control, communications, aviation, identification, radar, surveillance, and electronic warfare systems.

• Effective interaction and communication with customers, engineering, and other organizations to define aircraft maintenance requirements.

• Reading and interpreting wiring and schematic diagrams.

Basic Qualifications

Authoring of technical manuals or aircraft maintenance experience; C‑130 preferred.

Experience with military or commercial aircraft maintenance technical orders, manuals, or illustrated parts documentation.

Supporting aircraft organizational maintenance activities.

U.S. citizenship required; position located at a facility requiring special access.

Desired Skills

Experience with S1000D, XML, Contenta, Jira, Agile, Project Management, Excel, Budget Management, or AI implementation.

FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering desirable but not required.

Work Location: Onsite, full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
