Job Summary

MINISO USA is looking for a talented Product Developer and Graphic Designer to join our Toys and Hardlines team. This dynamic role focuses on ensuring the successful development of high-quality products across various categories such as Collectibles, Vinyl Plush, Blind Boxes, Plush, and Electronics. You will take products from initial concept to final production, creating items that truly connect with our target audience.

Essential Job Functions

You possess a comprehensive understanding of toy product design and development processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ideating, sketching, illustrating, and generating rough models with a strong ability to translate ideas into tangible designs.
  • Managing final modeling and production stages effectively.
  • Having a rich knowledge of the toy and entertainment industries, including familiarity with historical and contemporary toy trends.

As a strategic design thinker, you:

  • Contribute to and execute the overall product design vision.
  • Bring fresh perspectives with innovative design concepts.
  • Understand how to tailor designs to resonate with our core consumer base.
  • Embrace feedback and collaboration to refine project outcomes.

As a visual designer, you will:

  • Create a captivating visual design language suited to our core audience.
  • Integrate play and design to narrate a compelling story within the product.

Communication is key in this role. You will:

  • Present ideas clearly and confidently to diverse audiences.
  • Distill concepts into understandable narratives to foster organizational buy-in through various channels.

Collaboration is crucial:

  • Utilize consumer insights and industry trends to identify market opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and collaborate with our HQ product development teams.
  • Work alongside MINISO\'s expert teams in Marketing, Packaging, Engineering, and Product Management.

You are adaptable:

  • Quickly adjust to new design challenges.
  • Pivot and alter project strategies as business needs evolve.

Additional Qualifications

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D modeling software, with strong sketching skills.
  • Up-to-date with trends in the toy industry and related sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and manufacturing of Toys and Hardlines products.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and consumer product safety standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to creating comprehensive tech packs.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing processes, with high proficiency in materials and technical construction.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Product Design Development (required).
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant field.

Pay Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
